A Critical Eye

Should we be critical of other station, We all know the rule that you never drip about radio. How far do we let this go, do we ignor every thing that goes on good or bad. Do we thurn the other cheek, no mater what the is said and done. I do feel there are a few station's that thrive on this rule. I have seen so much bullying, by stations that should know better. Even though they have been at wrong, because a new or less known station has said something, they have been in the wrong. Is it right to judge such thing by who is involved and not what it is about. I know of many well know station's that are cowards, they rely on the fact they are well known, to bully new stations.

When it involves the bandplan, when do you say to other, you are corrupting the bandplan, so as to gain advantage. As there could be as many as 2,000 stations working in 100khz of band space, can we afford to let other monopolise 30 to 40khz of this 100khz.

When such disputes happen, shoud we let ourselves be involved. Once agian there are many stations that take side, even when the station is wrong. How do such station expect an orderly band, when there part in such arguments take the path of jamming, making rude comment, and useing the packet cluster to be offensive. I have never known such behavour solve a problem.

The hobby is a group of many people all doing the things they like to do. No one part of the hobby has the right to suppress another part of the hobby. We all have different views on many subjects, this is the right of every station to have a view. As long as it does not take the rights of others away, or is offensive in nature. If we allow other to dominate the hobby, and say nothing are we not as guilty as the offenders

I know my view is not popular with a few G's, but these are the station that try to dominate the hobby, by useing the above methods. Without the support of other stations this behavour would soon stop.

To finnish, should we put up with hypocrisy, in the the UK there is a small group of station's that rule the band with hypocrisy. Should we not insist on the same rules for all.
